Shakespeare on the Stage of The Northern Theatre

Comedy of Errors by William Shakespeare directed by László Bocsárdi, UNITER Award is going to be performed on February5, 19.00 p. m. This is the director's first collaboration with the company, but many of his performances have already been presented in the town, the last time during the Interethnic Theatre Festival.

István Bessenyei Gedő , artistic director of the company said about the third adults intended premiere of season that he is very glad about László Bocsárdi accepted the invitation and that the public will have an opportunity to know that peculiar theatrical language he represents. "It is perhaps the most important premiere of the season which for us is without exaggeration a historical moment, because  for the last 25 years have passed without the opportunity to invite this director of contemporary theatrical art. It is a very important for us.  However this will not mark an end, but a beginning, beginning of renewals and further professional advances" -  artistic director of the company to which he had added that the entire staff ended up a series of very instructive, but useful repetitions.
The director said it is always a risky interesting adventure to work with a company that had been never working before.  The stakes of this work it is very important that, at the same time, generates new energies.
As he said, he tries to accomplish performances are considered valid a few hundred kilometers further north."
With regards to the scenario of the show, he said "the entirely retranslated text by Zsolt Benedek was a very good basis to offer many possibilities of contemporaneous theatrical art. Translations of Eastern European, romantic, poetic Shakespearean dimensions destroy the substrate, the wilderness and the parts that occur simultaneously with a lyric line" - said Bocsárdi.
The visual image of the show reflects this and emphatically points out that Shakespeare can be very contemporary. Benedek Zsolt, translator-screenwriter, said that the text is very similar to the structure of the original drama and the Hungarian version tries to keep the multi polarity suggested by playwright. Like said, agreed with the director that this piece has much more than the eye would seem at first glance, feature, often obscured by various translations.
Zsuzsanna Kiss costume designer, said: „The costumes were made according to contemporary standards, combined with specific elements of different epochs, styles, cultures. It's not vintage suits, but about a very contemporary.
Bocsárdi László is working for years with the same creative team.
Costume designer József Bartha , was not present at the press conference, thus the director shared some thoughts about decor. Like it was said before, the set design is devoid of abundance and that might lessen its attention and energies. Bring with the thought of a man who emphasizes this side of film. The lights also were created by Tamás Bányai , light, and music composed by Csaba Boros .
