Ex Libris award given to Kovács Éva

Kovács Éva, life-member of Harag György Company, was award with Ex Libris Prize under the awards for Hungarian culture. The prize is going to be handed on 4th June in Budapest at the 36th Edition of the Gala Ceremony for Hungarian Culture.

Dr. Gubcsi Lajos, president of the awards for Hungarian culture, founded since 1986, 16 different artistic and historical awards. Among them there is the prize for Hungarian Culture, founded in 1987. In this category there have been awarded so far, 320 awards given to artists from all over the world.

Ex Libris prize is awarded by a jury consisting of eight independent regional councils. Ex Libris prize was founded by Gubcsi Lajos in 2009 with the aim of giving 25 awards per year in the next quarter of a century.

" We want to express our gratitude to all those who hold to the past, present and future of the Hungarian culture in the area of education, science or culture" said dr. Gubcsi Lajos. Among the laureates of this year there is the actress Kovács Éva who, as she had claimed, was surprised by the award and she feels honored that her work is appreciated. Among the first laureates, include with a posthumous award given in 1987, Harag György the  founder of our company.
