The First MAFEST Is Held In Satu Mare

Between 19 and 23 April Satu Mare held the first edition of MAFESZT, a theatre festival organized by the Association of Hungarian Theatres of Romanian, the MASZÍN, founded in 2017.

At the very promising events there will be present the members of the association: The Harag György Company, The Csiky Gergely Hungarian State Theatre, Timișoara, Aradi Kamaraszínház, Tomcsa Sándor Theatre, Odorheiu Secuiesc, Szigligeti Theatre, Oradea.

According to the planned program after the morning acting training sessions, in the afternoon the participating companies present their most successful performances then in the evenings, an actor band concert will make the program more colourful. In the program of the festival, all the members of the association have one or more performances.

During the festival, the renowned Serbian director, Kokan Mladenović, will host a workshop for the actors, while the Brighella Puppet Theatre another one coordinated by is organized by Szabó Attila, a Hungarian writer, director and clown doctor.

Tickets can be purchased at the theatrical agency: Horea Street, still Monday to Friday between 10.00 and 17.00, and one hour before the start of the performance.
