Beyond the Misty Mountain – The Harag György Company Presents a Spectacular Fairy Tale

On March 26, Saturday, at 11 o'clock Thea Harag György Company presents a very popular fairy tale directed by Nagy Regina.

“Ten years ago I worked on this piece at Theater Academy of Kaposvár, which was completely different in theatrical style, it was a studio performance. I've decided that when I have the opportunity, I'll try to work on it the stage. This was a big challenge for everyone, for actors and for me, as the emphasis should be on visualization. I brought many puppet elements to the performance. The other thing I insist on for this show, are the songs of Presser Gábor, in which he made his style so common”- said Nagy Regina, the director of the performance.

Muhi Andris, a little child, wakes up as a hero in his own dreamworld, where the evil Sludge tsar wants to dirty the world, and the savage cleaners led by Immaculate Silvia threat with extreme purity the blur-mountain people. Andris have to save the inhabitants of the Misty Empire including the mistiest of them, namely, Janka. However, like every fairy tale hero, he has to overcome a lot of badness: to look for Janka, to get through the sludge swamp, to resist the seduction of the baby-bearded demon, to defeat the big Sludge tsar, and we could even list many many dirty stories… Gathering in a slanderous sentence: it's a classic tale of good and dirt, specifically of the eternal fight of the dirt and the cleanliness, but in fact the victory of a healthy smear.
