Northern Theatre Harag György Company

My Fair Lady by the Harag György Company of the Satu Mare Northern Theatre was among the winners, with Satu Mare's Andrei Șerban's production winning Best Musical of the Year. The award was accepted by the company's director, Bessenyei Gedő István.

For the fourth consecutive year, the theatre magazine has awarded prizes for outstanding theatrical achievements, and in selecting the winners it not only looks at performances by Romanian-speaking theatres, but also selects performances by minority theatres.

My Fair Lady, which won the Best Musical award, was presented by the Harag György Company on 28 September. A few days later, the production was performed at the BUKFEST Hungarian Theatre Festival in Bucharest, and the sold-out production was rewarded with a long standing ovation by the audience in the capital.

The director of the production, Andrei Șerban, was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for directing at the event, while Irina Moscu, who was the set designer for My Fair Lady and the costume designer for Amphitryon in Satu Mare, also received an award at the event on Monday.
