About the performance

Bulgakov's work was never finished. In the form of a fragmentary manuscript, it survived the years that showed no mercy to the expression and the assumption of free opinions. Bulgakov was able, because of the idealism of his work, to clearly question the legitimacy of the Soviet Empire and Stalin.

The question arises why such a novel requires stage adaptation and direction... I hardly know the answer to that. One thing I became sure of during the rehearsals: a real, deep work can teach youIt can help you to become a better person. Because in a way it is like love. The Master and Margarita was never a definitive, finished novel.

Perhaps there can never be a definitive drama or theatre production. The Master and Margarita is a call to waltz. A test of how much of ourselves we are while reading or writing a novel, watching or creating a performance, or even exploring our lives.

It is impossible to present a novel in all its complexity. Nor do we undertake this task. But it is to show the sense of adventure and infinite power that can exist in man outside of space and time, if he listens to the signs and never truly being alone. (Sardar Tagirovsky)
