The Harag György Company Evolves at Tiszaújváros

Charley's aunt opened on Saturday, October 13 the 15th edition of Theatre Without Borders in Tiszaújváros.

The opening speech of this important Hungarian event being said by Nagy Orbán, director of Northern Theatre and member of the Harag György Company. In his speech, the director greeted the people of Tiszaújváros as old friends of many cross-border theatre workshops who demand high standard theatrical performances

Charley and Jack fall in love with Spittigue's two pretty girls, Kitty and Annie, who are guarded by the grim old stepfather under seven locks. The young men have no money, so they have no chance of Spittigue's benevolence. Their only hope is Charley's aunt, a wealthy millionaire widow. But their plan seems to be sabotaged because Donna Lucia, the aunt, will not arrive in time. Thus, the young men have no choice but to convince their friend, Babberley, to play the aunt’s role. A true friend, if he is, is willing to take on a woman's clothes just to help a friend in trouble… but what a whip can mix with if only the real one appears next to the fake one…

Cast: Nagy Csongor Zsolt, Péter Attila Zsolt, Gaál Gyula, Rappert-Vencz Gábor, László Zita, Diószegi Attila, Bándi Johanna, Laczkó Tekla, Bogár Barbara and Nagy Orbán. Director: Bessenyei István.
