A Weekend for Children at Harag György Company

Performances for children and Christmas charity fair in the weekend program.

On Saturday, there are presented two performances for children, and same day and Sunday the members of the company organise a charity fair. The sale revenue and the collected donations will be donated to make a better winter holiday for disadvantaged children.

December 14th at 11 o'clock the Harag György Company presents the Gangster grandmother by David Walliams, directed by Nagy Regina. Cast: Méhes Kati, Laczkó Tekla, Szabó János Szilárd, Diószegi Attila, Bándi Johanna, Varga Sándor, Frumen Gergő and László Zita.

„Do you know your grandmother? Mine lived in a village, and had rubber boots and a nice Sunday dress. Her favourite piece of clothing was a worn apron, favourite object a chipped wooden spoon. But in the evening she changed in a fairy, and flew me to a world where we were both heroes. My grandmother was a real wizard. The story of Ben and his grandmother, a neglected old woman by her family touched me much more than we would expect from a play for youth. The boy was incredibly bored at his grandma’s every Friday night and grandmother can't find the sound from childhood just growing up teenager. Apparently it's a doomed relationship, but one night, Ben found a huge diamond in grandma's biscuit box. Maybe that grandma is not who she seems? The turn-based, humorous and heart-wrenching story is about the special relationship between grandma and grandson, the power of fairy tales, the game. Grandmothers are a real wizard, even if at first they don't even look like mythical creatures. Do you know your grandmother?” – write the director in the teaser.

December 14th at 11 o'clock The Brighella Puppet Theatre present the tale of Aunt Holle, directed by Somogyi Tamás. Cast: Lehőcz Zsuzsa, Kófity Annamária, Nagy Anikó, Bandura Emese and Bandura Tibor.
The story of Aunt Holle gives that believe that there exists a force which serves justice and this truth stands on the side of one who is accepting, helpful, hardworking and able to stand up to his or her own values – said the director of the tale, Somogyi Tamás.

On December 14 and 15 The Harag György Company also organise Christmas charity bazaar where the staff of the company they sell their products and the total income will be offered to support in need children's Christmas. As part of the event there will be collected donations as toys, books and clothes also for families in need.
