Silver Fir-award for Stier Péter, the Administrative Director of Northern Theatre Satu Mare
The RMDSZ expressed for the 18. occasion the appreciation for those who serve the Transylvanian Hungarian community life.
The federal members of the council held a meeting on Saturday at Cluj-Napoca, according, this year, the Silver Fir Award to 24 person, among whom is Stier Péter, the administrative director of The Northern Theatre Satu Mare.
Stier Péter was born on 17 February 1980 at Satu Mare. He continued his studies the Babeș-Bolyai University, environmental science department. During these years, as an active member of Hungarian Student Association Cluj-Napoca organized several public and cultural events.
Finishing his studies, in 2002, returned to his hometown, he became responsible for public organisation of the Harag György of The Northern Theatre, and from 2009 is executive director of the theatre, then, between 2010-2012 manager. From 2012 until 2017 he is the theatre's administrative director, in 2017, deputy general director, 2017 autumn and again he works as the institution's administrative director. In the meantime, he degree The Babeș-Bolyai University, economic sciences faculty, banking and finance department. He has several important responsibilities in organizing cultural events for the Hungarian community in Satu Mare: since 2008, is board member of the Identitas Foundation Satu Mare, from 2009 to 2018, he was the main organizer of the Hungarian Partium Days.
Above all these responsibilities he is the vice-president of Proscenium Foundation which assists work of The Harag György Company.
There were awarded two more people related to Satu Mare: Bendel József as one of the founding members of the RMDSZ Tășnad and Téglás József, Hungarian teacher of the Kölcsey Ferenc National College as the coordinator of the Petőfi memorial celebration of Coltău.
