Northern Theatre Harag György Company

On 25 April, starting at 20p.m., is presenting a new performance based on Dragomán György’s work. The premier will take place in a special location, namely the Dinu Lipatti Philharmonic Satu Mare.

The two novels of the writer have on its own a pulsation as if it had been written for an instrument. The actor and the violinist are attempting to tell the story of a boy through the fusion of text and music.

„Dragomán György is one of the most read Transylvanian contemporary writer and playwright. It is not just a coincidence that his works are so successful on international stages. This novel affects me by its sense of humour and musicality. I knew at the beginning that this story cannot be said just in words on stage. Music must be present with the same weight as the spoken word.

Together with Szekely Alpár, we are going through an exciting search. We tell a story. To the audience and each other. The location chosen for the premiere is a milestone of this trip”- said Frumen Gergő, the editor-director of the performance.
