Yarny the Tailor – The Bighella Puppet Theatre has a new premier

On February 20, starting at 11 a.m., the Brighella Puppet Theatre of the Harag György Company will present its latest production, the Yarny the Tailor, on a season ticket break.

Based on Ilona G. Szász's Tale of the All-Sewing Needle, the performance aims for older children: it is recommended from the age of six, not only because of the complex story, but also because of its one-hour length.

"In a real, peaceful sewing salon, authentic objects come to life, they become the characters in the story, pictures and walls move, and then they are completely stepping out of the 'reality' of the sewing salon, we find ourselves in a mysterious, ideal world at the culmination of the story." - says the director of the performance, Nagy Regina.

In this heritage sewing salon, two girls bring to life the story of Málika, a sewing lady, evoking that romantic world that exudes a true peaceful atmosphere. During millimars and the masses modes the love story of Málika and her fiancé, Yarny the Tailor, come to life among wrought iron wheeled pedal sewing machines. Malika received an order from her late father, that she only could get married to the one, who would bring her the All-Sewing Needle. The groom in love gets up and acquires the magical thing, but, the meantime, Malika's offended rusty scissor start to revenge the world in its anger. Luckily, Yarny the Tailor is a born hero and he has the All-Sewing Needle.
